A complaint against FRANCIS LOO from Eagles Mediation and Counselling Centre

My grandmother attended a mediation session with FRANCIS LOO (LOO) from Eagles Mediation and Counselling Centre and her 2 sons by Tribunal for Maintenance of Parents. 

We felt LOO should have be indifferent in handling the mediation thus he is not expected to take side in this matter. I was told by Grandmother that the white haired man (LOO) sided her sons. And, she mentioned this white haired man (LOO) tried to influence her decision by attempting to confuse her thoughts. My brother further confirmed that LOO attempted to side the sons by putting across an unwanted remark. LOO said in front of brother and Grandmother that if he is the son then he too will fight for the house. We felt this is totally unaccepted. LOO further assumed by taken in what he was told by the sons involved the brother. LOO did not attempt to clarify by allowing brother to speak out in this matter. Brother tried to speak but stopped a few times by LOO. This further shown LOO did not make an effort to understand the case.

LOO further sided the sons by suggesting to Grandmother and brother to agree to give in to the sons' request involving a HDB flat.

We understood the purpose of LOO's presence is to mediate and to resolve this maintenance issue between Grandmother and the sons. LOO might have forgotten that this matter should be restricted to the maintenance issue solely. He should not involved the house in this matter at all. Thus, he confused my 85 years old Grandmother.

We attempted to talk with LOO after the mediation but totally ignored by him. Such arrogance is totally disturbing and uncalled for. I managed to confirm with the case officer that LOO is allowed to speak with the family members in matters related to the case.

We are amazed by such an unprofessionalism demonstrated by LOO given his seniority in age and prior experience in mediation.
